Defender Dash 2019

St. Michael the Archangel School in Streator, Illinois is excited to announce the fifth annual Defender Dash 5K/Fun Run & Pancake Breakfast to be held Saturday, October 19, 2019! Online registration will open on August 1, 2019. Printable registration forms will also be available for download on that date.

The Pancake Breakfast will begin serving at 7:30am and is included with all race registrations, but is also open to all, even if you are not participating in the races. We will continue to serve before, during, and after the race, so you can enjoy breakfast at whatever time is convenient for you! Many of our race participants prefer to enjoy breakfast after their race is over. We will stop serving at 10:30am. After the 5K race, awards will be announced. Details on breakfast ticket purchase and race registration will soon be posted.

Registration Information

Defender Dash 5K w/ Pancake Breakfast - $30 ($35 after October 1st)
**Starved Rock Runners Club Membership Pricing for 5K - $20 ($25 after October 1st). Please email the race director at jseaton@stmichael-streator.org to verify membership and obtain an online coupon code. 

​Family Fun Run w/Pancake Breakfast (1/4 mile- w/ breakfast) - $15 ($20 after October 1st)

Pancake Breakfast Only - $7/person (4 and under eat free)
(If you are interested in purchasing breakfast only tickets, they can be purchased by calling the school office at 815-672-3847 or emailing the race director at jseaton@stmichael-streator.org)

Awards Information

*Age group 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place winners will win medals.
(Age Groups: 9 and under, 10-14 ,15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60+) 

Trophies will be awarded to the overall men's and overall women's winners. We will also award trophies to the first SMS student male finisher and SMS student female finisher!

Order of Events

7:30-10:30- Pancake Breakfast located in the cafeteria. This is included as part of registrations, but also open for everyone, even if you do not participate in the race! Contact the school office at 815-672-3847 for breakfast only tickets, or email jseaton@stmichael-streator.org
7:30am - 8:30am- Registration and Check-in located in the gymnasium
