  • New Help Videos Posted!

    Make sure to scroll down and see if your technical issue can be solved by watching one of our help videos listed below. Recently, we added a help video on using the Google Classroom App on your phone to take & submit pictures of student work to Google Classroom and also how to pin the teacher to your screen in a Google Meet. Please email Mrs. Seaton if there are other help topics we can cover in a video for you!

  • Materials Pick up are Mondays from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

    Student materials may be picked up on each Monday from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Don't forget we have a drop box located outside the gym doors in the school parking lot to drop off materials. It's recommended to put them in a large envelope with the teacher name and student name or bind them together with binder clips to make sure things don't fall apart. Thank you!

  • Full Remote Learning will begin Tuesday, Nov. 17th

    Please follow your child's remote learning schedule that was sent home last week. If you have questions, please contact the school office or email your child's teacher. For any technology related questions, please email Mrs. Seaton.

Q: What is an e-learning day and why are we implementing it at St. Michael the Archangel School? 

A:  E-learning days  are days where instruction is delivered online and can help avoid interruptions to class instruction when school emergency days need to be used.  

Q:  How will my child access their materials on an e-learning day?

 A:  Students will access their assignments and lessons on Google Classroom. Materials are not limited to these, but may be online, videos, textbooks, books, workbooks, etc.

 Q:  What if my child does not have internet access during an e-learning day?

 A:  The students must communicate with their teacher as soon as possible if internet access is an issue, and an alternate assignment will be provided. 

Q:  How do I or my student get in touch with my child’s teacher on an e-learning day? 

A:  Teachers will be available between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. to answer emails or communicate through Google Classroom.

 Q:  Who do I contact if I need help during an e-learning day?

 A:  If it is directly related to the assignment or lesson, please email your teacher or message them on Google Classroom. If it is a technical issue you can email Mrs. Jill Seaton, IT Coordinator, jseaton@stmichael-streator.org. Other questions or concerns can be directed to Mrs. Emily Blumenshine, Principal, eblumenshine@stmichael-streator.org 

Q:  What kind of activities / assignments will my child be doing on an e-learning day?

 A:  Assignments will be at the discretion of the teacher to keep the flow of the class going without disruption.  Examples of assignments include but are not limited to: reading, hands-on activities with journal reflections, instructional videos, review of classroom content, reinforcement activities, journal entries, other digital assignments, etc.
